The Four Principal Tenets of Professional Conduct

1. Hypnosis is a powerful tool for both self-exploration and self-revelation. It is not a toy, and should be left in the hands of experienced trained professionals. When used with skill and compassion it can become a wonderful collective experience that achieves the level of both a group entertainment and a personal catharsis. Participants in the Alan Sands Hypnosis Show leave feeling refreshed and clear headed; with an enthusiasm for life, self-confidence,and high self-esteem. ...

2. No true professional would ever place a person in a position they would have cause to resent; or would ever endanger in any manner whatsoever the physical and emotional well-being of the subject.

3. As constant study in the art of hypnosis is the hallmark of a competent professional, Alan Sands feels it important that he regularly participate in workshops and classes on hypnosis across the country.

4. There are many misconceptions about hypnosis. Hypnotism offers neither miracle cures, nor can it cause the great harms sometimes sensationalized in movies and novels. As the audience and participants should understand what hypnosis is and is not, and what it can and can not do; Alan Sands makes it a point to educate his audiences as to the true nature of hypnotic suggestion.
