Hypnotic Comic Rusty Z, quit his “regular job” a few decades ago.
Before show biz James R. Zingelman (Yes, he has a real name) worked in printing and publishing doing customer service/sales. James started a rock and roll band and played the drums. The band, The Borrowed Times, went on to be named “Denver’s Best Dance Band” by Westword, Denver’s local arts and entertainment newspaper.
Working full time and drumming part time, James wasn't satisfied. He began to pursue a career in comedy (he had written a paper in the 3rd grade proclaiming that he wanted to be a comedian, “like Alan King”, when he grew up). After a few years traveling around the country as a club stand-up, James became a full-time instructor at Comedy Defensive Driving in Dallas, TX.
James moved to Albuquerque, NM and add hypnosis to his comedy act. He studied with some of the best teachers in the hypnosis and hypnotherapy field. The rest is history.
James was already a well-known comedic, so he adopted the stage name “Rusty Z, The Hypnotic Comic.”
James now specializes in comedy hypnosis shows for corporate events, fairs, high schools, associations and other groups.
He also produces and performs his very original hypnosis show show, continues to work as a stand-up comic and writes custom comedy material tailored to each client and audience.
James also has a part-time hypnotherapy business and is constantly adding new titles to his recorded hypnosis product line.
